Turnstone Cottage
This property is near to the high street in Gullane which has several shops, a bakery and cafe and a couple of pubs and restaurants. Popular places to eat include the Bonnie Badger owned by celebrity chef Tom Kitchin. If afternoon tea is more your thing you must make a reservation at nearby Greywalls, a beautiful edwardian hotel with gardens attributed by Gertrude Jekyll. This is also a great place for dinner with Chez Roux, its award winning restaurant. If a trip to Edinburgh is on the itinery there is an express bus into town from the high street or drive to nearby Drem station for a fast direct train service into the city. If countryside and castles are of interest there are miles of coastline to explore and we'd recommend a trip to nearlby Aberlady with it's famous bird reserve and historical Gosford House and pleasure grounds plus farm shop and cafe. There are castles at nearby Dirleton and Tantallon - a trip to the latter wiill take you through the seaside town of North Berwick which is famous for being the 'Biarritz of the North'.
